Kevin Thompson’s Story

I’ve always had an interest in self-improvement and relationships. While searching for information in these niches, I came across a lot of “Ex Back Gurus”, who were selling information on how to get your ex back.

To no one’s surprise, the information was not very helpful. They all made great promises on their sales pages and provided the same information when you brought their eBooks. (You know the usual, do no contact.)

Here’s the thing, when I was in high school, I had a bad breakup. And I had no one to guide me. I had no one to teach me how to be confident and how to pick myself up again. And one day while randomly browsing the internet, I stumbled across this quote that really resonated with me.

“Be who you needed when you were younger.” – A Stranger who changed my life.

At this time, I was doing relatively better with girls and my self-confidence. And I thought it will be a good idea to make something that would have helped me when I was younger. To make something that would have made my life easier when I went through my first breakup. Something that would give me support when I needed the most.

I read a lot of books on relationships, psychology and human behavior. Eventually, I combined all the information online and the self-help books, and I came up with my own plan on how to get your ex back. At that point, it was a simple 3 step process. Take a step back, work on yourself, and re-communicate with your ex.

And unlike most Gurus online, I gave away my plan for free on my website.

The website took a life of its own. I was getting thousands of visitors everyday and hundreds of comments every week.

Now you’ve got to know something about me. I am an empathic guy. That means when I read your story, my mind will automatically try to put me in your shoes and try to feel what you are feeling.

Unlike most of the self-proclaimed “ex back Gurus”, I decided to reply to each comment and email I got. For free.

Yes, when I started this, I was interacting with hundreds of people every week. Don’t believe me? I have an archived version of my article over here with me replying to each comment for years. Be warned, there are tens of thousands of comments and it might take a long time for the page to load. And these are just the comments. I have also had email conversations with thousands of clients as well.

An old screenshot of me replying to an email in 2014.

Note: I don’t reply to all the comments and emails any more. I only work closely with few clients instead of spreading myself thin. I’ve realized that I can learn more this way and as a result improve my methods faster and more efficiently.

I didn’t just learn things about relationships and breakups in books or a classroom. I worked with people all over the world in a variety of different situations for almost a decade.

As I interacted with more people, I got better at understanding heart broken people and saying the right things that will encourage them to pick themselves up and become confident again.

I refined my plan. I understood breakups better. I understood breakup dynamics better. I understood what goes through the mind of your ex and what goes through your mind at different stages of getting your ex back.

If you read my articles, you will find that the core of my advice is always focused on rebuilding your confidence and your relationship skills. You need to pick yourself up and stop acting out of neediness and desperation. You need to stop panicking and make sure you are making healthy choices in your life. If you decide to get your ex back, it should be a healthy choice for both you and your ex. (And that’s something most Gurus don’t talk about).
