“No, you don’t get it. You should have been married at 27”, my psychic said with increasing concern in her voice and eyes. She was a woman in her early 30s, wearing what you would expect a suburban housewife to wear and I could feel that she genuinely was scared about something.

I told her that I am 27 and I will probably meet someone soon. And she went on to explain to me that even if I meet someone today, it’s unlikely that I will get married within six months.

The worst part is, for a moment she gave me so much hope that I almost wished she was speaking the truth. You see, if I had a curse put upon me, it would make so much sense of the shambles my love life was and if removing that curse is all it took, I would have gladly paid $350 she was asking for. Because quite frankly, I always thought I would be married by 27.

She played into my insecurities in a way I didn’t think was possible and I couldn’t get that thought out of my head. To make sure I was not missing out on this opportunity to find my twin flame, I sent my friend to her as a control group and sure enough, she got the same script.

Don’t let this turn you off though. Any believer knows that there are excellent Psychics out there, there are con artists and there are many in between. The one reading I will never forget was when I was in my second serious relationship. I got the contact from a friend in LA and the Psychic was an old woman who spoke with intensity and seriousness. Her voice felt hypnotic. She got so many things right about my relationship with my boyfriend, about my dead grandmother and about my childhood, it was uncanny. She claimed to be a clairvoyant and clairsentient who can feel and see energies. Her job, she said, was to interpret the energies in a way that makes sense to her clients.

I will spare you the details of the reading, but I still remember the one thing that really resonated with me. “The person you are with does not see you as his life partner.” She claimed that this insight came from my grandmother in the form of energies. While I am not entirely convinced it was Nana, it was something she would have said if she was alive. And it made so much sense because my then boyfriend would back off every time there was a talk about commitment and moving the relationship forward.

It helped me accept what I already knew inside me. That he was not my person. And that I need to end the relationship.

I won’t say that the Psychic made me break up with my boyfriend. But her guidance gave me a lot of clarity in my life that I desperately needed at the moment.

The “best” Psychic reading I had was on the website California Psychics with a Psychic who is now retired. But that Psychic was someone I connected with at that time and the life situation I was in.

It doesn’t make them the best psychic for all the people all the time. Like I said, it highly depends on you, what you want from the Psychic reading and what you are going through in your life.

It’s sort of disappointing that everyone out there reviewing platforms is just talking about the offers on the platforms without actually reviewing the Psychics over there. When in reality, if someone like me is searching for a Psychic website, the only thing I would care about is the “actual Psychics”.

• Can they really connect and get in tune with me and my POI?

Uli from California Psychics – $17/minute – She is in high demand and her queues are always full. One of our testers got in by contacting customer care and was thoroughly impressed. If you can get her on the phone, you will probably be impressed too. But her availability is bad and she is expensive. Doesn’t use tools. Our tester was impressed how she emphasized probability and free will in her reading, while still being very accurate in both past and predictions.

Thalia from California Psychics – $4/minute for the first 20 minutes – One of our testers said, “She was the only one who picked up that there was another girl which I later verified”. While one of the forum members said, “So far she has gotten a short term predication right for me and she was ON THE NOSE about his personality and things that were going on between us. ” She sometimes uses Tarot.

Eileen from California Psychics – $1/minute for first 20 minutes – One of the few psychics on California Psychics to be so inexpensive. She’s a rare find and I hope her prices stay the same in the future.

I personally tested Eileen and I was surprised by her accuracy. She got so many things right about the guy I was dating and said he does not see himself with me over the long term. Best Psychics for Career Readings

Stevie from California Psychics – $4/minute for the first 20 minutes – She is a business minded intuitive with 18 years of experience as a Psychic. Our tester found her to be full of wisdom and sage advice. Our tester said “Stevie picked up on my strength and weaknesses in the healthcare industry and guided me to move forward. She also predicted what might happen with my boss and I think it’s very likely to come true.”

Tommy from California Psychics – $4/minute for the first 20 minutes (with a $10 discount if you use this method) – Our tester went to him without any specific questions since he does general reading and they were amazed by how much he picked up on. He didn’t ask for a birthday or sign and he was still very accurate. Tommy gave our tester a roadmap for his career which was something the tester really needed.

SuNNNNi from Kasamba – $3.99/minute – While career isn’t her specialty, she does career reading and one of our tester found her insight into her job search insightful and helpful. She said, “SuNNNNi predicted I would receive a job offer in May, but I got it in June end. Close enough I guess.” Predictions are always unreliable but it gave the Psychic reading gave the tester some hope during uncertainty and considering her price is reasonable, we think it was worth it.

Psychic Lynn from Purple Garden – $1.49/minute – While she didn’t blow our tester away with amazing Psychic abilities, we did find her to be reasonable, ethical and down to earth. She definitely gave great career advice and our tester could tell that she was really intuitive.

Best Psychics for Mediumship

Note that this is not a proof of afterlife, or any Psychics ability to actually connect with people on the other side. We have no way to verify if these powers are real. Our findings are only based on how effective the Psychics were in providing relief to people in grief.

Anais from California Psychic – $4/minute for the first 20 minutes (cheaper if you use this method) – Our tester felt that she connected well with a friend who passed away recently.

Rika from California Psychic – $13/minute (get $80 discount using this method) – She has a high energy and you can feel it in her reading. She said somethings that really resonated with one of our tester who was grieving from the loss of a friend.

Matt Fraser – $650 per reading with 2 year waiting – Matt Fraser is one of the top mediums known for his reputation. However, he has become so famous that it’s impossible to get a reading with him. We’ve only included him here because we heard a lot of good things about him on forums. He only does medium reading to help people in grief. However, you can join one of his group online readings on his website for $27. We don’t recommend it though since there are so many people and it’s not nearly as good as getting a reading one on one with a reputable Psychic.

Best App/Website for Psychic Readings in 2025

California Psychics – mainly because we found the majority of their Psychics to be most accurate, genuine and helpful. They only have 350 Psychics (out of which we tested 25). But this only confirms that they are strict in who they allow on the platform. So you are more likely to find a genuine Psychic there. They offer a satisfaction guarantee which our testers found that they honor.

The cons of California Psychic is that intro offer can seem confusing, they don’t let you in the member’s area unless you actually buy a reading and they don’t allow negative reviews of Psychic on their platform. And the biggest drawback is that the top Psychics over there are expensive.

The main reason California Psychics ranks so high is because we found all the Psychics there to be ethical. None of them tried to sell a spell or cleansing and it felt like they all genuinely tried to help our testers, albeit, some of them weren’t great at the “Psychic” part of being an advisor. They claim to review their Psychics before on-boarding them and it shows in the quality of their Psychics (and their price…Yikes)

Best apps for free/cheap Psychic Reading

Kasamba – It offers 3 minutes free reading with most Psychics which makes it one of the best offers for Psychic readings. However, we did not find most of the Psychics on Kasamba to be great and some of them even felt unethical. For example, some of the Psychics even message you afterwards trying to sell spells, cleansing. In our experience, that can feel like taking advantage of the vulnerable since there is absolutely no proof that spells, curses, cleansings actually work. At best, they only have a placebo effect and they are not worth the hundreds of dollars they charge.

So if you decide to go with Kasamba, read our full review below to see which Psychics we tested, which ones were helpful and which ones are not recommended.

Purple Garden Website / Purple Ocean App – While we found some genuine helpful Psychics here, they weren’t really mindblowing in terms of accuracy. We did find them to be ethical, moreso compared to Kasamba. But they were generally more expensive than Kasamba, but a little less expensive than California Psychics.

While we only tested 8 Psychics on Purple Garden, we still think it’s a safe platform because all the Psychics were safe, ethical and genuinely helpful.

It’s an unregulated industry – So you can never be 100% sure.

I have said it before but I should still mention that not all Psychics on these platforms were gifted or even helpful. Some of them felt like they were cold readings and some were outright rude in our tests. A few even tried to sell spells during or after the reading. And we have mentioned that in our review below as well.

Verdict – It’s a good platform with a some good Psychics. But we did not get to test a lot of their Psychics due to budget constraint. We still found a mix of great Psychics and some mediocre ones. She has a high rating on Purple Ocean but a lot of negative reviews on independent forums. We don’t recommend her, especially for that price.

• Barbara4846 ($7.38/minute) – Our tester found her to be very accurate for tapping in their existing situation. • Divine Love ($5.99/minute) – Our tester found her to be very accurate about past, present and the future. She provided a lot of clarity about their love life and got our recommendation. • Melodie Marie ($6.49/minute) – She asks for the birthday of your POI and starts her reading. Our tester found her to have a calm-soothing voice and described her as “quietly confident”. She is an empath and a remote viewer and we found her short term predictions to be very accurate.
• Northstar Julie ($7.95/minute) – She was hard to get hold of because of her popularity. But we found her early morning Eastern Time and were impressed by her accuracy and advice. She makes you think about the big picture and gives you broad view of your life and a vision. It provides a lot of clarity and confident to her readers. She has great reviews on forums for this reason as well.

Psychics that were good, although we doubt they have a gift –

I’m not saying that the Psychics above have a gift for sure. It’s just that the Psychics below left a lot of doubts with our testers. But these Psychics were helpful nonetheless.

• Evamoon ($2.99/minute) – Our tester were not impressed by her accuracy but she gave good advice. She has mixed reviews on forums.
• Viking Princess ($12.99/minute) – We got a chat reading with her and she types fast. We liked her reading but it wasn’t extraordinary and did not feel it was worth the price tag.
• Cindys knowing ($4.99/minute) – She is a clairvoyent but the tester did not feel like she connected with them. On forums, some readers felt she always gives a negative reading.
• Rose of Angels ($1.99/minute) – Our tester felt like she connected but they could not really understand her advice as she speaks in a cryptic manner. If you go with her, consider recording your reading so you can listen to it later (but make sure to get her consent first)

• QueenofCups18 ($9.99/minute) – She is one of the most popular Psychic on Keen and on forums. Some people swear by her readings while some call her fake. However, our testers did not have a great experience with her as they found her to be rude and unreliable. She changed her reading when the testers gave her new information and it made them feel like it was just a cold reading.
• Elizabeth of the Light ($5.99/minute) – Our tester felt she was rude in delivering a negative outcome. It also felt like she was instilling fear in the testers which is why they decided to end their reading session. She is popular on forums and has great reviews on Keen but we don’t recommend her.
• Evanora Flores ($4.5/minute) – She has bad reviews on forums and our testers did not have a great experience with her either. They also found her to be rude.
• Ask Fran ($2.99/minute) – She is constantly recommended by Keen but we did not find her to be of anything special. Our tester found the reading to be generic, something they could have just asked ChatGPT.
• Walks With Thunder ($7.77/minute) – Our tester said, “if you want to spend $7.77/minute to talk with a wise old man, he is great. But I won’t call him a Psychic.”.
• Tracy Tallulah ($3.99/minute) – Our tester found her to be funny and felt at ease with her, but they found her to be cold reading. They felt she gave very vague answers and said, “I kind of felt like any questions I asked directly she just paraphrased them and repeated them back to me.”

Verdict – Psychic source is also one of the oldest platform and worth trying. However, Psychics there can get expensive very quickly once the free offer runs out. We only tested 5 of their Psychics and the quality was reasonable.

• Yona Farrell – A very popular Psychic on internet forums. We did not get a reading from her but from our research, she seems very helpful for most people and her prices are reasonable.
• June Field – Recommended by Google for some reason. But we can not vouch for her since we did not find much information about her on forums. She does not do online readings.

Psychic platforms to avoid

The following platforms have been reported by our participants to use fear tactics to gain monetary advantage from people in a vulnerable state. We recommend you avoid them.

1. Mia from SpiritualSociety.co – We got 1 report that they use fear tactics and are not very helpful. We have not investigated them further but for now, we caution our readers from buying any Psychic reading from this platform. They are active on social media and there’s a good chance you will see ads from them.

2. Any spellcasters/curse removal – Any portal or website that promises spell casters or guaranteed results should be avoided at all costs. The responsible psychic community also criticizes such practices and there is no guarantee that it works. In 100% of cases, spell casters are scamming you with false promises. Spells can not make someone fall in love, cure health conditions, make you win the lottery or any other ridiculous claims they make. Please, be wary of such things even if a part of you desperately wants to believe it.

Is there a valid certification for Psychic Mediums?

Why do you rate all this platform so low?

Our ratings are based on a strict criteria where both a Skeptic and a Believer come together to review. As such, even a Psychic scores highly for the participant, a Skeptic can see through cold reading/Barnum effect and pull their ratings down simply because it removes their claim to have real psychic powers.

Don’t let this discourage you though. Some psychics probably do have real gifts and you are most likely to find them on the platforms rated highest in our review.

Are Psychics Powers or Mediums Real?

There is no scientific evidence to prove Psychic powers or paranormal powers exist. Several scientists have tried to prove it and failed. One fine gentleman even offered a $1 million reward for anyone who can prove it, but the reward remained unclaimed and was discontinued in 2015. The psychic community calls the test too rigid and unrealistic – a claim which does hold some ground. After all, psychics tend to work with “energies” and “chakras”, which are very personal and their readings often don’t come true in literal ways, but what Carl Jung called Synchronicity.

But, just because science denies it doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. I have personally felt really connected with the spirits after a psychic reading. And I have had experiences that are simply not possible to explain through the science lens. And there are millions of people like me who believe in Psychics the same way I do. It’s because for us, Psychics are real based on our life experience. The same way God is.

Why did you include a Skeptic as an analyzer?

Kevin, the owner of this website and one of the analyzer, is a skeptic. But he is not the type of skeptic who believes “all psychics are scammers and everyone should stay away from them.” He is open minded and he believes Psychic readings can be helpful for people and they have a place in this world. So his involvement and feedback is valuable while also bringing in a bit of healthy skepticism.

Review Criteria in detail –

This is our review criteria explained in detail.

1. Safety

This is our top most priority since people who usually look for a Psychic reading are going through mental duress and are vulnerable. So even though some Psychics can be very helpful and enlightening, others can use this vulnerable state to their advantage.

We measured safety by analyzing the advice or predictions the Psychic gave. Kevin and I listen to the reading and the feedback provided by the participant and determine if it’s safe advice.

For example, a common question participants have is “Will my ex come back” which a malicious Psychic could use to their advantage by saying something like, “I do see your ex wants to come back, but there is a “curse/energy/block” stopping them. You can do this to make them back.” and then proceed to sell them more services.

Thankfully, we did not find such Psychics in any of the major platform that we reviewed but we have heard stories of them and we try to highlight such con artists as well so people can stay away from them.

2. Reading Accuracy

Psychics claim to feel things or see things that tell them about you. Most Psychics call it energy. While skeptics just call it cold reading/ hot reading or Barnum effect. Thankfully, we had both a skeptic and a believer as an analyzer.

Kevin and I both discussed what the Psychic said about the participant in their reading. And we correlated it with the participant’s feedback about how accurate they felt their reading was.

We factor both the participant’s feeling and the whether the reading could be cold reading/hot reading / barnum effect.

For most of our analysis, the reading could be explained by cold reding/hot reading or the barnum effect. But we still give them points for making the participant believe in their reading as that is a part of the whole Psychic reading experience.

3. Prediction Accuracy

If the psychics made any claim about the future, we follow up with our participants if those claims come true.

We also factor in how general the claim is vs how specific it is. For example, “you will come across good fortune in the next two years” is quite general. Whereas, “You will meet a balding man in New Orleans in December who will be your soulmate.” is quite specific.

As of now, none of the prediction has come true mainly because not enough time has passed since the reading. We will update our review as some claims do or do not come true.

4. Clarity and Guidance

We turn to Psychics when need some clarity in life. And a good Psychic reading can certainly provide clarity. For this criteria, we only referred to the feedback provided by our participants on how much clarity they got from the Psychic session. Some of them were life changing while others were just mediocre.

5. Spiritual Connection

A good Psychic can make you feel connected with your loved ones or the spirits. For me personally, when that Psychic spoke about my grandmother guiding me, it really made me feel connected to her and made me feel like my Nana is still looking out for me.

Whether or not their is an afterlife is not the question here. We leave those topics for scientists and skeptics. I felt connected to my grandmother after that Psychic reading knowing full well that there may not be an afterlife. I chose to believe in it and believe in my Nana looking after me.

So for this criteria, we solely relied on the feedback from our participants and whether or not they felt connected with spirits, the energy of the universe or their loved ones.

6. Platform Rating

This criteria covers stuff like,

• How easy was the platform to use?
• How easy was it to find a Psychic?
• How transparent was the platform in terms of pricing?
• How trustworthy did the platform look?

All these things are pretty basic stuff and easy to review. We found most platforms to be easy to use while some had issues with pricing transparency.
